Toronto Skateboard History

The Superbowl Skatepark was the first skatepark in Toronto. It opened in 1977 and was torn down in 1980.
The following photos were taken while the park was being demolished.

• superbowl-snake1.jpg looks down on the large (on the left) and small snakeruns from the starting hill. The small snakerun was so tight nobody ever rode it.
• superbowl-snake2.jpg was taken on the deck between the two snakeruns, looking at the large snakerun as Steve Kotsopoulos grinds.
• superbowl-snake3.jpg was taken on the other side of the same run, watching Nigel Dutru do an ollie ... not many people could do an ollie in 1980
